Barcelona, July 2026<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Clowns Without Borders<\/strong> is launching a new expedition to Chile to provide emotional support to children and families affected by the wildfires that struck the \u00d1uble and Biob\u00edo regions in January 2026. From 3 to 14 July<\/strong>, the team, made up of Natalia Rammsy<\/strong>, Basti\u00e1n Loyola, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, Luc\u00eda Viera<\/strong> and Francisco Javier Varela<\/strong>, will perform clown shows and lead activities in several communities that are still living with the consequences of the disaster. <\/p>\n\n

The wildfires particularly affected the municipalities of R\u00e1nquil<\/strong>, Bulnes<\/strong>, Penco<\/strong>, Lirqu\u00e9n<\/strong> and Punta de Parra<\/strong>. High temperatures, strong winds and low humidity allowed the fires to spread rapidly from forested areas into populated communities, destroying homes, forcing mass evacuations and causing severe environmental damage. <\/p>\n\n

Months after the fires, many families continue to face uncertainty. Reconstruction is progressing slowly, and many people have received eviction notices because the land where they lived has been declared uninhabitable. This situation has had a particularly profound impact on children, who, in addition to experiencing the trauma of the disaster, have had to adapt to new environments, change schools and cope with major disruptions to their daily lives. <\/p>\n\n

With this expedition, Clowns Without Borders<\/strong> highlights another consequence of humanitarian emergencies: the invisible wounds that disasters leave on children’s emotional well-being<\/strong>. Through the universal language of laughter, the organisation creates spaces for connection, trust and hope for communities that are still rebuilding their lives. <\/p>\n\n
