Clowns Without Borders

A different way to celebrate

When a birthday comes around, it’s most common to expect gifts—toys, books, material items that, over time, too often end up forgotten in a drawer. But Simone, a devoted follower of the circus and the work of Clowns Without Borders, wanted to do things differently.

This year, for her birthday, she decided she didn’t want any presents. Instead, she asked for money to make a donation to Clowns Without Borders. She wanted her birthday to mean something more—she wanted it to have a real impact.

She said it clearly herself: she preferred to do something that would help other children who are suffering around the world, in contexts of war, displacement, or emergencies. Because she knew that this seemingly small gesture could help improve lives. Her act has been a lesson for all of us—an example of how, even from childhood, one can contribute to building a more empathetic and just world. At Clowns Without Borders, we can only thank her—and all similar initiatives—not only for making it possible for more children to receive performances and emotional support, but also for showing another way to participate, to get involved, and to stand with our project.

Would you like to do what Simone did?

You can turn any celebration—a birthday, a family gathering, a wedding—into an opportunity to support our projects. Every contribution helps bring joy and emotional support to children who need it.

Make a difference!
