More than 30 years of history
1993. 1993. While the Balkan War was still ongoing, the Projecte School of Barcelona refused to look the other way. The students asked the clown Tortell Poltrona to visit children affected by the conflict. That gesture marked the beginning of a journey that has now lasted for more than thirty years. Since then, we have never stopped carrying out expeditions to support children affected by war and natural disasters, including those living as refugees.

Barcelona’s La Mercè Festival with Clowns Without Borders
Thank you to the artists, clowns, musicians, technicians, volunteers and collaborators who trust us to share our mission on such a meaningful day. In this way, we renew our commitment to refugee children, convinced that laughter is a powerful tool to help build a better world.

With the refugees of Gevgelija (2015)
In Gevgelija, Macedonia, we work in a transit refugee camp, providing relief and emotional support to refugees arriving from conflict-affected countries such as Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. This video shows how circus and laughter can bring a moment of calm and hope amid the uncertainty of displacement.
